You've chosen to be Bob Debuilder that's good, because at least at this stage you have been through a registration process by the Queensland Building Services Authority (BSA) which has included a process of assessment to determine that you at least know how to supervise persons that can build a building or structure, coordinate material supplies and understand statutory requirement.

 

It may be that you have completed a trade at some time in the past but this is not essential. If you have sufficient experience in the building industry in project management and have a wod of money, that will suffice.

 

Remember Bob’s prime function is to project manage.

 

As a registered builder you will also have been assigned a level of competency by the BSA (as they chose to be known -I cant figure why they refer to themselves as the BSA unless they don’t want to confused with the Queensland Baptist Soccer Association or perhaps Quality and Business Standards Alliance or perhaps they figure you should be smart enough to know they are in Queensland- any rate, that the handle they prefer is BSA).

 

Remember Bob’s category and level will determine what Bob’s can build.

 

5 years ago I would have now asked you ”what it was that you wanted to build?” but so complex has development become, that it really make no difference what you want to build, today the process for the most simplest of Building Works activities need to travel the same path.
